Smriti Mandhana has added another landmark to an already extraordinary international career, becoming the highest run-scorer in the history of women’s international cricket across all formats.
The Indian opener achieved the feat during India’s Women’s Asia Cup 2026 Group A match against Hong Kong at the Dubai International Stadium on Thursday. Mandhana went past former India captain Mithali Raj’s tally of 10,868 runs in her 303rd international innings, moving to the top of the all-time list.
Mandhana now has 10,880 international runs, ahead of New Zealand’s Suzie Bates (10,740), Mithali Raj (10,868), former England captain Charlotte Edwards (10,273) and West Indies great Stafanie Taylor (10,007).
The milestone came with a remarkable 124 off 64 balls, with Mandhana combining power with her trademark strokeplay before being run out in the final over. Her innings propelled India to 193/5.
The century was Mandhana’s 18th in women’s international cricket, taking her past Australia’s Meg Lanning and South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt, who have 17 each. She now holds the record for the most international centuries in women’s cricket.
Mandhana also equalled Mithali’s record of 93 scores of 50 or more in women’s internationals. Her 37th 50-plus score in Women’s T20Is is already a record, with Australia’s Beth Mooney next on the list with 33.
Her 124 is the highest individual score in Women’s Asia Cup history, surpassing Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu’s unbeaten 119 against Malaysia in 2024. It is also the highest score by an Indian in Women’s T20Is.
The knock made Mandhana the first Indian woman to score multiple centuries in Women’s T20Is, adding another milestone to her growing list of achievements in the format.
The 30-year-old had previously become the fastest woman to 10,000 international runs, reaching the mark in 280 innings. She is also the first Indian woman to score centuries across all three international formats.
With her latest achievement, Mandhana has now moved beyond Mithali’s long-standing benchmark and taken the top spot on a list that reflects the remarkable longevity and consistency of women’s cricket’s leading run-scorers.
