Donald Trump’s son-in-law denies allegations of secret financial dealings with Saudi Arabia and UAE

Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and former senior White House adviser, has denied allegations that he secretly accessed Gulf-funded bank accounts during Trump’s first administration in connection with efforts to influence American foreign policy.

The allegations appeared in a Vanity Fair report based on an excerpt from journalist Matthew Cole’s forthcoming book, Princes and Thieves: Jared Kushner and Mohamed bin Zayed’s Secret Plot to Remake the Middle East.

According to the report, Dutch intelligence operatives monitored Kushner’s iPhone and allegedly discovered his access to a UAE-linked bank account that received hundreds of millions of dollars from Azerbaijan.

The report claimed that approximately $750 million entered an account at First Abu Dhabi Bank belonging to the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, a UAE government-funded charity. Kushner was allegedly an authorised signatory, although he did not own the account.

It further alleged that UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman explored establishing a fund to support the Trump administration’s foreign policy objectives. According to Vanity Fair, the two leaders subsequently placed at least $2 billion into accounts accessible to Kushner.

A separate allegation involved a purported $1 billion transfer intended for Kushner’s personal benefit, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu allegedly involved in discussions about where the money should be deposited.

Kushner rejected the accusations, describing them as categorically false. He said the report offered no bank statements, transaction records or other verifiable evidence supporting its claims.

His attorney, Chad Mizelle, also denied the existence of the alleged accounts and indicated that legal action remained possible.

The allegations concern Kushner’s activities during Trump’s first presidential term. He currently participates in diplomatic efforts alongside US special envoy Steve Witkoff.

The reported financial arrangements remain unverified, and no wrongdoing has been established.
